We read your article on "Trust Networks" for RIAs, naming Pershing as the top provider. We thought it was worthwhile to make sure you had some background on Fidelity's trust offerings for RIAs. There are two:

The Fidelity Trustee Referral Program - it is an innovative service is designed to help the RIA simplify the process of selecting and working with trust companies when Fidelity is unable to serve as trustee.
Fidelity has selected federal and state-chartered corporate trustees who delegate investment management functions to the advisor's firm. The Referral Program allows an advisor to manage investments through Fidelity's platform, while maintaining the role of the investment advisor."

The Fidelity Personal Trust Company, FSB - acts on behalf of an advisor's client (the personal trustee) and provide certain trust administration services under the guidelines of the trust document while the trustee retains all the fiduciary responsibilities and liabilities.
Wealth managers can retain the investment management responsibilities and continue to access the integrated brokerage and trust services offered by Fidelity Investments (Fidelity), eliminating the need to access separate systems to manage clients' trust portfolios."

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions or wish to discuss, please don't hesitate to give me a call.

Best,

-Steve
